EXERCISE IS A STIMULUS

Many people that frequent the gym or workout on their own believe that it is the exercise that changes their body, this is wrong. Exercise is only the stimulus which causes your bodies internal systems to respond, and that response is gains in strength, flexibility, loss of body fat and much more. But without the correct knowledge you can over stimulate your body – leading to injury.

Exercise is science based and that science must be applied correctly to gain a healthy and lasting results. The use of exercise to improve performance dates back as far as 386 B.C. As you can see years of study and experimentation have gone into discovery.

Exercise is a stimulus - its purpose is to enhance the body's performance. When we engage in regular physical activity, several positive changes occur in our body that contribute to improved performance and overall health.

Regular physical activity can lead to increased energy levels and reduced feelings of fatigue, making it easier to stay active and perform daily tasks which can help to control body weight by burning calories and boosting metabolism. Maintaining a healthy weight is essential for optimal physical performance.

Resistance training and weightlifting, helps to build and strengthen muscles. With regular workouts, muscles adapt and become more efficient, allowing you to perform tasks with less fatigue and greater endurance. Weight-bearing exercises like walking or weightlifting can increase bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and improving overall bone health.

Aerobic exercises like running, cycling, swimming, or dancing improve cardiovascular health by strengthening the heart and improving blood circulation. This, in turn, enhances stamina and endurance during physical activities. enhances coordination and balance, leading to better overall performance in sports and daily activities.

Stretching routines improve flexibility and increase the range of motion in our joints. Enhanced flexibility reduces the risk of injury and allows for better performance in various activities. Regular physical activity can boost the immune system, making the body more resilient to illnesses and infections, improve sleep quality and duration, which is vital for recovery and overall performance.

It's important to note that the benefits of exercise are best achieved through consistency and a balanced approach. It's essential to choose exercises that align with individual goals, fitness levels, and preferences.
