Life on Earth is interconnected in intricate ways. Throughout the universe, there are fundamental laws and principles that govern the behavior of matter, energy, and forces.
War and violence not only take lives it creates an imbalance in the world causing a harmonic disruption that impacts us all. This behavior disruptions the harmonic field that binds us all together.
As we continue to ignore the interconnectivity of our community and the world we fail to see how the actions and behaviors of people impact us on all levels. There is a New Testament statement in the words of Christ “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and give to God the things that are God’s.” The need to consume has overwhelmed the need to connect.
Many spiritual and philosophical traditions propose the idea of a universal harmony or cosmic order. Concepts like the Tao in Taoism, Dharma in Hinduism and Buddhism, or the concept of the Great Spirit in some indigenous belief systems, emphasize the interconnectedness of all things and the importance of living in harmony with nature and the world.
I believe that guided movement is a way to open your mind to understanding things seen and unseen. A way to touch the deeper parts of our humanity. This is the next step for all humanity on the face of this planet.
The arts like music, dance, traditional martial arts, and mostly any form of movement that requires time to development skill has the power to evoke emotions and create harmony among people. One can transcend cultural boundaries and unite individuals in a shared experience of beauty, expression, shared values, empathy, compassion, and the pursuit of common goals.
Time to get back to what is real and what builds physical and spiritual connections between all of us. Because we are the building blocks of all humanity on earth.
